My passport is hopefully in Wellington now, going through the motions of getting a Russian visa (I understand why not many people visit Russia now. Definitely not a spur of the moment thing). I am also minus a driver's license because I finally finally got my full (after 11 years on a restricted). To be honest it wasn't that difficult and I was embarrassed about my reasons for leaving it this long. As it was, I only got it because I intend to do some driving in Sweden and didn't want to explain what a restricted license was.
Being identity-less has its problems, as I discovered when I tried to put a PIN on my credit card. I currently have no photo ID to say I am who I am. This time next week I am very much hoping I shall have both passport and drivers license back.
